Wren and Hawthorn painting

 

Last year I discovered the Domestika platform, primarily because I'm a fan of illustrator Jessica Roux and she has a course on there. The course is very comprehensive, taking you from preliminary to finished artwork. I've really enjoyed it.

I created this piece using techniques I learned in the course, although I used Procreate rather than photoshop. I did the whole piece digitally, working from an original sketch in mu sketchbook. This process suits me well because it replicates what I do in traditional media, and I'm sure I'll do more in this style.
